Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
- Process payroll and lodge Single Touch Payroll.
- Prepare and review BAS/IAS, P&L, balance sheet, and aging reports.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Australian taxation laws, GST, and ATO guidelines.
- Assist with internal/external audits and compliance requirements.
- Communicate effectively with clients via email, calls, and meetings to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold client confidentiality.
- Identify process improvements and support automation/efficiency initiatives.
- Ability to understand client and jurisdiction requirements and conform to them for all deliverables.
- Analyse the MI data collated by the team on regular basis to detect trends and suggesting improvisations.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
- Full/ Partial qualification in CIMA/ACCA/CPA
- 3 – 4 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to Australian accounts
- Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with client-facing experience
- Ability to work accurately under deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using numerous online platforms for research outreach
- Ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision
- A team player with a can do attitude
